MYCELIUM NETWORK

Brian and Wren Prosser are a father daughter team in the music world. They are known as the Mycelium Network. They are from the steep city of Sheffield, England. The duo has been surrounded by music their entire life. Brian first got into playing music when he was 22 and listening to “Surfing with the Alien” by Joe Satriani. At that age he went out and got himself a guitar and hasn't put it down since. Wren grew up going to gigs and was surrounded by it through her father’s love.

Their music is mostly rock band based, but they have ventured into fold and prog rock here and there. They write their music based on where they want it to take them. Their recent song, Mr C, was for rockers who are tired of the same old Christmas music. The duo has 20+ songs lined up this year. In the mix of songs, there will be one where Wren takes on the lead vocals. So look out for Lilith, it is an epic tune. Along with a summer vibe song releasing in Spring 2023 called ‘VDubin’.

When talking with them, Brian shared that the hardest part of the industry is marketing. But the duo has a lot planned out for the whole 2023 year. Including a few gigs, that will be acoustic based.
