DOWN BLACK DOJO
Jacques Morency and Mathew Baker, collectively known as Down Black Dojo, are a dynamic duo coming from diverse backgrounds. Jacques originally from Haiti and Mathew from Connecticut. Their journey into music was sparked by individual inspirations. Jacques, driven by a desire for creativity, found his passion with beat-making through FL Studios during his high school days. His sound draws from a myriad of influences, ranging from konpa to hip hop and gains other influences through various art forms. While Mathew's love for music started with rap legends like Biggie Smalls and Nas. Mathew started off with poetry and it transitioned into him writing music and performing.
